Orchard Road's main tourist appeal is the sheer volume of shopping centres lining the street. From the massive Tangs- a retail store selling just about every item under the sun- to the smaller, independent jewellery and perfume sellers, Orchard Road literally has something that will appeal to any shopper.

Throughout the day, many stores hold promotions out on the sidewalk in front of their establishments, including free samples, makeovers, and street performances. While Orchard Road prides itself on being vibrant and exiting year round, during the Christmas Season the area lights up with twinkling strands of lights, decorations, and lavishly decorated trees.

To keep energy up while shopping, stop by Canele at Paragon Shopping Centre and grab a decadent pastry or a quick bistro-style lunch. Those who enjoy traditional Japanese soba noodles will want to pop into Shimbashi Soba instead, where authentic Japanese chefs prepare their own Soba.
