Hi Bianca
I hope you've had a good holiday in Singapore.
My apologies for not getting this up earlier. I've been overwhelmed with other things in life. And I feel dreadful when I think of the backlog of requests queuing up to be answered.
Anyways, I'll proceed to answer your questions for the benefit of future travellers to Singapore.
1) Itinerary Refinement
Your itinerary is very do-able. There's not much to change - except that if you plan on watching Songs of the Sea, you're never going to make it to Clarke Quay at 9pm. But Clarke Quay opens till late and you'll still have lots of time if you make it there by 11pm.
2) Transport Savings
Except for the Night Safari, you're visiting the places close to the city. So the MRT will be good enough. Take a taxi to the Night Safari to give yourself more time there.
3) Marina Bay - Things to Do
Apart from the mandatory photo against the city skyline, you'll be spoilt of choice if you like shopping: Marina Square, Suntec City, Marina Bay Sands, Raffles City and Peninsula Plaza, and more.
You could also take a Singapore River Cruise from a few spots in the Marina Bay area.
Obviously the Singapore River is nearby and offers some good distractions.
To everybody reading this belated Q&A post: have a great vacation in Singapore.
Gabriel Tan
